We use professional-grade lacquers, conversion varnishes, and waterborne finishes specifically formulated for cabinetry and architectural millwork, not wall paint rolled on with a brush.

Our finishing systems meet or exceed KCMA standards — the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association certification used by the cabinet industry to measure durability and performance. To earn that rating, a finish must withstand hundreds of hours of testing, including heat, cold, moisture, household chemicals, and impact resistance. That's the standard your cabinets are finished to.

Applied in our controlled spray booth environment, the result is a factory-quality finish that looks flawless, holds up to real daily life, and lasts for years without fading, chipping, or wearing through.

Can you match existing colors, finishes, or styles?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. This is one of the most common requests we get. Whether you're adding new cabinetry to an existing kitchen and need a seamless match, refreshing a worn finish in certain areas, or working from a designer's specification, we color-match with precision. We'll assess the existing finish, identify the sheen level, and replicate it so the result is indistinguishable. You shouldn't be able to tell where old ends and new begins.

What's the difference between having cabinets finished in your shop versus on-site?

Accepted Answer

Both produce excellent results in the right circumstances, and we do both.

Off-site shop finishing in our controlled spray booth delivers the absolute highest level of smoothness and consistency because dust, humidity, and temperature are completely controlled. It's ideal for new cabinetry, doors, and drawer fronts.

On-site finishing makes more sense for existing installed cabinetry where removal isn't practical. We'll assess your project honestly and recommend the approach that gives you the best result — not the one that's most convenient for us.

How much disruption should I expect during a cabinet finishing project?

Accepted Answer

Significantly less than you might think, and far less than a full cabinet replacement. For on-site projects, we protect your space, contain our work area, and maintain a clean, organized job site throughout.

For off-site finishing, your cabinet doors and drawer fronts are removed, finished in our shop, and reinstalled, typically within a few days. Your kitchen remains largely functional throughout the process. We'll walk you through exactly what to expect before we start, so nothing catches you off guard.
